BIOL 652 - Evolution - Syllabus

Textbooks: Evolutionary Analysis, 2nd edition, Freeman and Herron; Darwin. Origin of Species; Ecology and Evolution of Darwin's Finches, Grant.

Grades will be based on class participation (65%) and a term paper (35%). Attendance is required. Students who miss a class will be docked one grade point per class missed. The laboratory portion of the course is still evolving, but will be a mix of molecular genetic and population genetic laboratory and computer  activities  and laboratory assignments to be scheduled at various times during the semester.
